This aircraft has quite an interesting history as it was retained by Westland for Hot weather trials at Edwards AFB in the USA. It was later converted to carry the Lynx nose mounted Ferranti SeaSpray radar as a trials vehicle and was used at RSRE Pershore before moving to RSRE at Bedford. After serving with 771 Sqn RN it arrived at Boscombe Down in Jan 2006 to become the trial platform for the Carson Blades.
